Hi there, I'm Laura!
I'm so excited to have you here as I begin sharing my journey and lessons in the world of social media management, digital marketing, and balancing it all with motherhood.
In 2023, I made a very difficult but necessary decision: I left my six-figure career. It was a leap of faith driven by extreme burnout and a deep desire to create a life that felt more aligned and enjoyable—spending time with my kids, enjoying home-cooked meals, and focusing on health and well-being. During my time off, I was praying specifically for career direction and along came my first two social media clients, seemingly out of the blue!
With prior experience in social media management, a passion for all things business, and the essential tools already at my fingertips, I launched my social media management business in just one day! This lead to learning all about Meta Advertising which led to becoming a digital marketing strategist.
Why Social Media Management?
Social media management has been a game-changer for me. It's the perfect side hustle for moms for so many reasons:
Flexibility: I can work from home (or anywhere) on my own schedule, which means I’m there for my kids when they need me most.
Scalability: The more you learn and grow, the more opportunities open up—whether it’s managing multiple accounts, diving into content creation, or offering additional services like ad management.
Creativity Meets Strategy: It’s the perfect blend of using creativity to craft engaging content while also analyzing data to refine and improve.
Low Start-Up Costs: You don’t need a huge investment to get started. A laptop, a phone, and a few tools are enough to launch your business (I’ll be sharing all my tools with you in the next post!).
Through this journey, I’ve been able to bring in additional income for my family while staying present in the lives of my kids. I’m still learning so much about social media management, digital marketing, and balancing life as a mompreneur. This is very much a journey, not a sprint, and I’m excited to share both my successes and the lessons I learn along the way. I am so grateful I am still able to contribute financially for our family without missing out on these precious years.
